| AlphaPipe is a cost effective solution to wear experienced inside pipe-work caused by the transfer of abrasive materials. AlphaPipe steel pipe sections are lined with highly abrasion resistant ExtraChrome alloy welded onto internal surfaces to provide durable, long-life performance. AlphaPipe is available in diameters from 80mm to 400mm, in lengths of up to 3000mm. The range includes straight sections or bends which can be supplied with plain ends for welding or flanged. We offer standard long radius bends or specials can be made to order. ExtraChrome welded lining is a specialist alloy containing a high proportion of hard carbides. The lining is available in thicknesses of 2.5mm to 4.5mm enabling us to match existing pipe-work diameters to minimise material flow turbulence and wear. It is suitable for temperatures up to 600°c. AlphaPipe is lighter than many traditional wear protection devices such as "dead boxes", resulting in safer, low-cost installation. Specially developed manufacturing techniques enable weld beads to be applied in a continuous spiral which avoids straight weld seams for a more circular cross section and to minimise shrinkage.
